Our random chopped fiber CFC threaded rods in US UNC thread offer the finest carbon carbon threaded rods one will find on the market today. this material provides superior inter-laminar shear strength and ultra-fine machining of the threads. No more chip outs, voids, and other defects to weaken the joint. CFC is able to be used up to 3000C (5432F) in vacuum and protective (non-oxidizing) atmospheres. A limit of 350F in air is best to prevent oxidation although some push the limits to 750F. Please see our other listing in our eBay store for matching nuts of various heights and widths. This material is used to make vacuum furnace fixtures, heating element supports, insulation package studs, and for many other uses including structural applications in spacecraft.
